We are fortunate to have so many activities for all ages within a close proximity. Here are a few favourites that are close by.
Graythwaite Adventure
Graythwaite Adventure provide award winning outdoor adventure experiences on the Graythwaite Estate, 5,000 acres of managed woodland, parkland and lake frontage, just 10 minutes’ drive from the hotel heading north up the western shore of Lake Windermere.
Guests with Graythwaite Adventure can enjoy 4×4 off-road driving on the off-road course that takes you through some of the most remote areas of the estate on technically challenging ground with majestic views from the summit. Clay pigeon shooting, archery and axe throwing take place at the shooting site, nestled in the heart of the estate. Bushcraft experiences can be enjoyed from the base in the ancient woodland. Watersports are run from a quiet and secluded bay; stand up paddleboarding, sit on top kayaks and canoes; instructed lessons or hire of the equipment. Or you may opt for a boat tour in the 10 seater RIB; a fine way to explore the lake with the option to be collected from the hotel jetty.
Whether it’s just the two of you, you and the children, a family occasion, wedding party or corporate group, Graythwaite Adventure has 25 years of running events and experiences in the Lakes so you’ll be in great hands. Their ethos is simple; they love to share. From sharing our beloved Lake District, to sharing unique experiences, knowledge and even a cold beer and marshmallows around the fire pit, what they love most is helping other people share these snap shots in time and to leave with lasting memories.
They’re the perfect accompaniment to your stay with us at The Lakeside Hotel.
